Anyone had any experience of this please, my BC nurse said last week I'm looking at clear margins or a microinvasion, as my first results were clear margins but small, so had another op and results tomorrow.

  • Hello.  I'm 6 years post high grade DCIS.  I had clear margins first time but lots of ladies have follow up surgery to get clear margins successfully,  g

    Good luck tomorrow xx

  • Hi I had a Grade 2 lump , but when I had the lumpectomy they found “extensive high grade rupturing DCIS” none of which showed on any scans. I ended up after having the wle  two cavity chest shaves but they weren’t convinced they had it all , so after I had chemo (needed that for the lump not the DCIS) I had a mastectomy. No trace of cancer found , was that the chemo doing it’s job or there was nothing left anyway ? Will never know. I think 20% of women have no clear margins after their first op, my case was unusual but happens.

Fingers crossed you get the all clear x
