Sounds like a Pink Floyd song...
Hi all. I've only just found you.... wish I realised this was here earlier...
A week into my radiotherapy following lumpectomy.
Finding this tough as its affecting my physical activity, which is usually very high. Being told, no instructed to slow down.
And what's with the anxiety that comes from radiotherapy??? so many rough nights....!!
Anyhow, thanks for allowing my rant.....
Hello wasaskinnybird
I only joined yesterday and I was diagnosed in January. Its hard being inactive. Before Covid I was playing tennis 3 times a week and walking my dog every day. At this stage I don’t know if I will get back on the tennis court. Its a long road. I’m having chemo followed by radiotherapy. I can’t help with anxiety from radiotherapy as I haven’t started it yet. Sending you good wishes. Stay positive all the best. J xxx
hi J.
it is a long road and I've not even had chemotherapy...
I teach a dance fitness class 7 times per week, run 3 times a week and strength train 2 x a week... its my income as well as my whole life.
I'm sure you will get back to your tennis - my sister does everything and more and she had a year of treatment...
Many thanks for your reply.
Sx
Hi wasaskinnybird
Oh WOW that’s a big deal if your fitness is actually your income. No wonder you are anxious. I used to run but now I walk when I can. I mean you are super fit hmm now I don’t know what to say. I hope some other athletes here can get in touch with you. All the best. J xxx
