Hi Wave

I'm new to all of this but thought I would say hi as I can see myself coming onto this forum alot more in the future. I recently found a lump in my left breast and yesterday had my breast clinic appointment, which has left me feeling numb, anxious, scared, but I'm staying positive. I had a scan then a biopsy where they inserted a tag? (Is that what they call it) then a mammogram, after being told they are very concerned and I got to go back for my results on the 6th Sept. If I'm honest I already know the outcome as my nan had breast cancer when she was in her 40s, I'm 35 so it is a bit of a shock, I have a loving supportive family but they are all so upset I thought here would be a good place to talk to someone else and not see my loved ones sadness in their eyes. I hope your all doing OK and look forward to speaking to you xx

  • Hi DBL, so sorry to hear your news but you are defo in the right place for support, help and advice, we all know how you are feeling, we have all been there.  I had chemo, lumpectomy and radiotherapy and then targeted therapy but everyones cancer is different and gets a different treatment plan.  One step and one day at a time, try to stay positive and if you need a rant you are already in the right place.  Love from Ann

  • Thankyou Ann Heart  I hope you are doing well, xx

  • Hi DBL….definitely not the place you wanted to be, but for support and a friendly ear to share your concerns and worries you’ve done the right thing. I think you can be surrounded by the most supportive and loving family and friends but sometimes it’s easier to unburden to someone not so closely connected….feel free to rant and rave as much as you need to, we’ve all been there at some stage!
Sending good wishes to you….keep in touch xx

  • Hi DBL

Wekcome,to,the forum and sorry to hear your news. As others have told you you will have plenty of support on here when you need it.

I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer last year and after chemo, surgery and radiotherapy I am now in remission.

Wishing you the best of luck with whatever treatments your medical team put you on.

    Best wishes
