Is it normal  to still have pain in breast after having a vacuum biopsy  over 2 weeks ago

  • Morning! Mine did remain bruised and sensitive for a couple of weeks but it wasn’t what I’d call painful unless I banged it, I hope it feels better soon but if it starts to feel hard, or you get heat in it then get on to the breast care team immediately xx

  • Mine was quite sore for several weeks. They took two samples and it's like being punched with each one! Mine was on the side so maybe more bruising and pain as it was so close to my chest wall. I was sore for several weeks and my lump grew from the swelling (which they warned me about). I was in more pain with biopsy than lumpectomy.

Hope you're feeling better today, mine wasn't really sore just more aware of it really,  I did get an infection after my first operation so it might be worth phoning breadt care nurse just to get it checked, antibiotics sorted me out x

  • Thanks
