Hello,
Found out today that I have triple negative breast cancer. Have oncologist appt next week to talk treatment and I have to have a CT and bone scan.(?) Also the BRCA gene test thing was mentioned.
To say I'm petrified is an understatement. I have 2 boys and I'm so angry that they have this in their lives.
Hi Deb11,….no one wants to find themselves on this forum, but I hope you do find some comfort in the fact that you are not alone, as it can seem like a very isolating experience even if you are surrounded by family/friends…….I totally understand your anger, even though my children are adults I still don’t want them to have this in their lives, I feel guilty about that!
I’m waiting for results from scans you mentioned and emotions are all over the place, every positive comment anybody makes I turn into a negative, but it’s important to try and focus on the fact that all these tests are done to make sure the best outcome is achieved.
Feel free to sound off when you need……sending hugs and good wishes x
Hi Deb11
Welcome to the forum and sorry you have been diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. It’s very treatable and I know of a couple of people with Triple Negative and they are now better. I also was diagnosed with Triple Negative last September and after having chemo and surgery I am now in remission You will be given plenty of support from the ladies on this forum should you need it..
Your medical team will do everything they can to make your treatments as easy as possible and you will be given numbers so that you can contact the specialist nurses on the oncology ward.
Wishing you the best of luck with your scans and with whatever treatments your oncologist will put you on.
Best wishes

Thankyou so much to the two lovely ladies who replied. I feel like I have an army at my disposal should I need it.
I was very sceptical about this forum before I logged on but its incredible. I'm not sure how much support I can give at the moment as im all over the place, but just having you lot here makes me feel so much better. I'm hoping that in a few months time I can return the favour and be the one holding everyone else up.
Thanks ladies. Absolute legends.
Xx
