Hi - I have been diagnosed with breast cancer and on 11th June underwent a right side mastectomy.
I’m a primary school teacher and mum to 3 boys (one with SEND).
It has been a whirlwind few weeks as I only discovered the lump during the Easter holidays.
Waiting for the results of the sentinel node biopsy - I go back to hospital for this on 24th June - feeling scared about what the outcome of this will be but trying to remain positive!
Hi purpleworld,
Goodness me this path seems to be a total whirlwind. How has your recovery been from your operation? How are your children managing? Try to keep positive as possible, wishing you well.
i was diagnosed last week, awaiting biopsy results this week to see what treatment I will have, I also need a sentinel node biopsy too. I had to tell my children this week - so far that’s been the hardest part x
