Hi everyone, I have just joined so trying to find my way round..
Hi Spongbob,
Welcome to the group.
The site and forums are great but not the easiest to navigate. There are threads for specific topics (like chemo and radiotherapy) which are very helpful.
How far along are you on your BC journey? Do you have a treatment plan?

Hi, thank you, no it's not the easiest, is there an app we can download? I'm triple negative, been having chemo since Feb finish July 22nd, so 6 more to go, then lumpectomy and radio. How about you? X
Hiya, yes, I'm on a fb group too and the support is amazing x
Hi Spongbob
Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have triple negative breast cancer. I was diagnosed with triple negative last September and had chemo and then surgery.I am now in remission. I am currently undergoing radiotherapy and finding it not too bad, certainly easier than chemo.
Wishing you the best of luck with the rest of your treatments.
Best wishes

Hi Spongebob
I had a lumpectomy at the end of March. The operation went well and my surgeon got rid of any cancer left after chemo.
Best wishes
Daisy
Hi Spongbob,
Hadn’t realised you’d replied. No, I don’t think there’s an app unfortunately.
I’m HER2+. Started my 3 weekly chemo in February and have just finished my 6th and last round. Having surgery at the end of July then radio. So similar treatment path.
How are you finding the chemo?
Bluebell xx
Bluebell Woods I think I am a few weeks behind you, just in Cycle 5, then surgery mid August. How do you feel now the chemo is done? I am just so desperate to be through with this stage, still one more to go!
Hi Irishgirl,
I feel remarkably well. Rounds 4 and 5 were the worst for me mostly due to extreme fatigue. I decided to be more pro-active with round 6 and went to the gym (because I can’t motivate myself at home) from day 3. What a difference, even though I’m only exercising very lightly. Have been sleeping and eating well. I have taken Imodium a couple of times as required and that’s kept everything normal.
I’ve still to have 3 weekly IV Herceptins but don’t have to have steroids, anti-sickness or white cell boosting injections with these. Have to have my bloods checked before the first lot but not thereafter. Such a relief! So good to have actual chemo over and done with.
Moving on to thinking about preparing for my surgery now. Fingers crossed of course as I still have to have scans at the end of the month to see how well the treatment has worked and what surgery I’ll need.
I’m quite far from being back to 100% fitness (as if I was 100% fit before!) but will work on that.
I’ve been reading your excellent blogs. Keep up the good work. I’ve done (what I think will be) the hard bit and you’ve nearly done it.
Wishing you well.
