I'm on my second round of chemo for triple negative breast cancer. Mid way through I get an awful red rash on my face which is itchy and sore. Does anybody else get this and have advice on how to ease it?
Yes, I did. I got mine after my second round of docetaxel & carboplantin. It usually started around day 10 and lasted until a few days before next round. It got worst with each round and lasted a day or so longer. I finished my 6 round on May 21st and I still got it but it is slowly fading. I’ve called my BCN many times about it. I’m still on antihistamines both pills & cream.
Thank you for replying. I was told first time round it was an allergic reaction to one of the drugs. This time round it isn't a lumpy rash but it's still sore and very red. I was told to take antihistamine but I don't think it's doing anything. I will ring the chemo unit today and see if they have any advice.
