Hi not really sure what to do on here,I was wondering if the way you feel gets worse day on day ,I had my first dose on wed, and feel like I have a headache and strangeness!! Feel a bit of nausea and mouth is very dry .
Hi. Welcome. Everyone's different. What type of chemo are you having. I'm onto 5 of 6. Stock up on mouthwash (but not Listerene) and keep an eye out for oral thrush. Contact chemo nurse if it continues as they can give you oral tablets but then they can play havoc with yr bloods. It's a vicious circle I'm afraid trying to work out stuff but no need to suffer. Chemo is certainly doable. Good luck xx
EC made me spacey after the first one, and a bit headachey. I developed a temperature on day 3, and after each one had palpitations and chest pain, but the steroids might have partially been the cause. Everyone is different, ranging from no real symptoms to hospital!
Look at the chemo thread as there are lots of useful tips. Alcohol free mouthwash and a soft toothbrush and something to protect nails are two must haves though:) Good luck, and you'll get there! Xxx
Hi Will cope
Welcome and sorry to hear that you've been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Everyone's different so it doesn't necessarily get worse day on day. When I was having chemo I didn't have too many side effects and those I did have didn't last more than a day or two. The biggest side effect I had was losing my hair all over my body. It's strange at first but you soon get used to having no hair and I didn't bother with a wig just used a turban whenever I went out.
For washing out my mouth I put half a teaspoon of salt into half a cup of hot water topped up with cold water and I use that everyday.
Best of luck with the rest of your treatments and take care. Be kind to yourself.
Best wishes and take care.

I'm on different chemo to you but I have just posted a blog post on chemo side effects hints and tips as there are things I wish I’d known before I started. Maybe that helps. It's over on the blog page and the overall blog is “One Life Live It”
