Hello all, I am here because I would like to get some advice please. I have been diagnosed with stage 2, grade 3 BC in 2020, my lump was big and I had lymph node involvement. I underwent chemo, two surgeries and radiation. Now on tamoxifen. Right after the treatment I found out I have brca1, so I was advised to get my ovaries our, which I did the other week. They found new tumour on my left ovary, but results will be in two weeks. I am 32 and always been healthy, but things seem to be getting worse and worse, I have extreme back pains, new lump on my neck or swelling on the opposite side, I had some bleeding and I constantly have infections one after another. When I go to GP, I get told it's all because of anxiety and there is nothing wrong with me. They give me morphine and send me on my way. I had CT scan last year October and it was fined but I just know there is something going on, but I can't get any further for more tests. Please can you advise me what would you do in this situation. I am seeing my breast consultant in two months, so I am sure he will check everything over again, but can I wait that long? I can't sleep well because of those pains and sometimes I struggle to lift my daughter up and she is only 24 months old... Thank you

  • Hi GChiv

You are the best judge of how you are feeling and I would keep on at my GP until they do something for you. Failing that I would ring my breast care nurse to see if you can get a earlier appointment with your breast surgeon.

Hope this helps and best of luck with your results in two weeks time.

    Best wishes

  • So sorry to find yourself here but it's a great site. Personally I wouldn't wait for your GP. I got told by mine that "when you are in the system" with the hospital to go direct to them. I was told by my GP they wernt cancer experts! I would speak to your BCN or your surgeons secretary and see if you can be seen in the clinic. Good luck and take care xxx
