Breast lump and possible lymph node

When to breast clinic yesterday after finding a lump. It measures 2cm. On ultrasound,  Doctor says she is strongly concerned,  so did biopsies, with markers,  and also noticed a swollen lymph node. I did mention that I had recently had my 2and covid vaccine,  so said hopefully the node was probably a symptom of that. The doctor at the ultrasound kept saying, do you understand, what we are saying to you? Said I must bring someone with me, for results which is mon 7th June.

  • Oh Angela,  you must be so frustrated to day the least, I'm sorry x

  • I did get my results today, grade 2 NST plus intermediate grade DCIS.  However my full results aren’t back so can’t confirm what my treatment will be until results of HER 2.  Either surgery and radiotherapy or 18 weeks of chemo then surgery then radiotherapy, so keeping my fingers crossed for the first option.

Thanks, it can’t come soon enough as I’m in a bit of a state to be honest, I looked after my mum through lung cancer and keep having flashback to when she was at her worst and begged me to help her end it... I had buried those memories deep as they were to difficult to deal with.

  • So sorry to hear that, it’s difficult enough waiting for results without a hold up like that, every second feels like an hour as it is…...I really feel for you.

    Take care, best wishes x

  • Sorry to hear that your results have been delayed Angela.  It’s so frustrating when you don’t get your results when you expect them, I feel for you. Be kind to yourself and do whatever you need to do to get you through the next 8 days while you wait for your results. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you.

    Best wishes
