Hi
I had my test results back today. Invasive ductal grade 2. Spread to a lymph node. Waiting for scans. Estrogen neg and they think I will be triple neg.
Just wanted to say hello and hopefully get some support/give support where needed.
I'm quite pragmatic about it all really and like to talk facts.
Ready for the ride.
Hi
Thanks for sharing.
I’ve an appointment in 2-week-wait clinic (which is actually in 3 weeks), and being agonised with uncertainty. How long does it take to know mammography and biopsy’s results? I am thinking if it’s worth to do these privately to accelerate the process and not to wait it from 2ww clinic? How long from diagnostic tests to the surgery? Depends on the stage?
Hi I had a consultant app 4th May and biopsies mamo a week later. Results for most came back today. Still waiting on some. So from doc visit to results it was about a month.
Try not to worry as it could be nothing and its a waste of energy. Easy to say I know but I feel so much better now I know what I am dealing with.
As for private it's up to you but in my experience NHS are dealing really well and promptly.
Let me know how you get on. Good luck
Hi cheesewell
Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I like your attitude. I was the same myself when I found out that I had triple negative after finding a lump in my left breast and when I had my ultrasound discovering that I had a lump under my armpit as well, I knew straight away that it was Cancer.
I had 8 cycles of chemo over a four month period, 4 cycles of AC and 4 cycles of Taxol. I got away with not having too many side effects, I only had a couple of blips along the way.
Wishing you the best luck with whatever treatment you are given.
Best wishes
Daisy
Hi Tasha2021
Welcome to the forum and sorry you find yourself waiting for the results of your mammogram and biopsy.
The length of time it takes from diagnostic tests to surgery depends on what stage your Breast is at and what type of Breast Cancer you have. Your surgeon may decide to start you on chemo to shrink your tumour before doing surgery.
It’s up to you whether you want to go privately or not but once you are in the system and you get your diagnosis things move very quickly.
Wishing you the best of luck with your results.
Best wishes
Daisy
