Hello my name is Sandra and I was diagnosed with invasive ductal breast cancer on 16th April. I had a lumpectomy on 11th May and will find out if the cancer has spread to my lymph nodes or margins. I have been a childminder for the past 11 years but have decided to stop because of the uncertainty of my treatment going forward. Giving up a career I loved has been harder than the diagnosis. Thank you for reading x
Hi girl sorry to meet in this awful way I have also been just diagnosed with grade 2 invasive ductal breast cancer NST in left breast sensitive to hormone oestrogen and is HER2 Negative. I go on this Friday 28th for a left therapeutic mammoplasty and sentinel lymph node biopsy and right breast reduction as of my age 35 he wants to get them both looking the same . Then treatment to follow after surgery. I have just had a little baba girl 8 months ago it’s so so awful but I’m hopefully we all will get through this journey together. Sending you all my love x
Dear Sandra - Whatever the outcome is from your biopsy, stay positive you can get through this and return to the career that you love, I am sure. I had a mastectomy on Tuesday and my drains are being removed tomorrow. I await the results from the mastectomy in early June. I am staying positive that all will be OK in the end, one way or the other. I am self-employed and when my body has healed enough, I am planning to return to the career that I love. Please don’t give up hope Sandra, we are on a journey that we didn’t want to go on and didn’t ask for. X
Hello Sandra, nice to meet you. So sorry to hear about your diagnosis, me myself I was diagnosed with nvasive ductal breast cancer stage 2, month an a half ago. I had two surgeries in one months. During the first one I had 3lymps being removed and the tumor with the margins, but after the biopsy it happenemy margins were cancerous as well so I needed second surgery. This happens when we carry some Ghost cancer cells, but thankfully after the second surgery no more surgery is needed. Even though this
ounds very serious I had no one day of pain or any other side effects. I'm personal trainer and yoga instructor so I'm quite fit and before the operation I took extra care to prepare my upper body t
be more flexible, I must to say the results has been incredible. Even my doctor said she was amazed with my recovery process. I have two kids and I got back to my normal duties the very next day. In
etween my operation which was only 3weeks apart I participated in 100km walk challenge and I finished it 10days. Im at the moment starting my radioteraphy treatment and again I'm doing 20min cardio/
rength training to help get over the fatigue due to radiation and I must to say again so far I have been feeling very well. If you want I can share with you some of the videos with exercises (not mi
, as I don't have a YouTube channel
)But I definitely can select some for you to help you build yourself up. It really is so worth it. I'm actually thinking of going back to my work now as I really do not feel any different. I'm in Plymouth UK, if you are living somewhere near by we can meet for a chat, or a phone call.
Wishing you all the best
Lidia
