Hello, im Norma im nre here so appologys if im slow on the uptake.
hopefully i will be posting and reading others post, thanks for having me.
im 64 and soon to be a great grandma, married, for 21years it is both my husbands
as well as myslfs 4th marriage,
at christmas time past, i was swnt to a+e wirg a chest infection. whilst having xrays
it was found i had a small nodule on my lung, i wasnt told whilst there i found out
when i received a copy of letter sent to GP. at the same time i was battling to contact
a private clinic where i had breast inplants back in 2005. my left side was extremly swollen
and badly misshapen. i soon found out the clinic i was treated at had closed and was no more.
i contacted my gp and was treated quite hostile, the main obsticle was the fact i had it done
privately. this had been the case when lockdown came and i found it impossible to get the help i needed.
eventually after several different appointments at several different clinics, i was lucky enough to be seen
at chase farm hospital, part of the royal free london. i had the usual mammograms and also ct scans,to cut a long story
as short as i can, i was sent to have fluid drained from my breast , it was fluid built up outside of the inplant.
a total of 340mls was aspirated and i was shocked to see it was black blood, it wasnt like i had seen on
google etc. i am now waiting for lab results , i should have been goung this coming weds 26/05/21
but i received a text to say it would now be a telephone appt, because of the indian variant as in covid 19.
ive also had extreme pain in my arm on the same side. i dont know what to think. am i mad to think its cancer
or am i mad to think it isnt. any words of wisdom would be welcome in my countdown to wednesday.
thankyou all who may read my plea good luck to all Norma
Hi tinhead
Welcome to the forum. There could be any number of reasons for the pain in your arm, cancer being one of them, so I don’t think you are mad to think that it’s cancer or not cancer. When I found a lump in my left Breast las August I was sent for a mammogram and an ultrasound and they found a tumour under my arm that I hadn’t known about and as soon as I was told that I knew it was Cancer and the biopsies I had confirmed it a week later.
I’m sorry to hear how you were treated by your GP and that you had to visit several different clinics before you got the help you needed.
Wishing you the best of luck with your appointment and hopefully you’ll get good news.
Best wishes
Daisy
