Hi,
I had surgery and radiotherapy 3 years ago on my left breast.
Bruising
This may seem like a silly, minor question but I would be grateful to know if anyone has experienced a sudden change in colour of their breast and bruising. Yesterday morning I noticed my left breast had a blue/purple hue. Last night half the breast was covered in what appeared to be bruises. I don’t know whether the bruising was something to do with what I had noticed in the morning or holding my granddaughter during the day.
Exhaustion
Until Christmas I was taking Letrozole but due to a number side effects was transferred to Tamoxifen. I am now feeling permanently exhausted and have headaches. Consequently, I am considering stopping taking any form of hormonal therapy but am anxious about the cancer coming back. Has anyone else taken the decision to stop medication?
Hi Susie Two Shoes welcome to the forum. You know havig been there already that any changes in your breast needs to be seen by a medical person so in respect of the bruising I would get a visit to the GP arranged and get this checked out for re-assurance if nothing else.
I know some folks who have come off the Tamoxifen and Letrozole but not before long conversations with Cancer Specialists about their choices and if its the right one for them. Are you in a position where you could give the breast Nurse a call and have a chat with them about this or not?
