Double Masctomy

Hi, iam 4 weeks post surgery.  I had a double mastectomy iam more than happy to answer questions based on my experience but everyone is different.  If you have specific questions ask away or are you looking for just a general account? Xxx

I just don't know what to expect pain wise or being able to lift my arms or even what bra to wear after surgery.

I found the second week a bit more painful than the first, think it was just everything healing.  They gave my strong painkillers but I was fine on paracetamol. Everyone is different take what u need.  The hospital gave me a bra and a pair of 'softies' to wear. I only wore them when I was going out wasn't comfy to wear all day. I now wear a sports bra and knitted knockers I find that combo works best for me.  The hospital will also give you exercises to do that will help with moment. Everyone is different listen to your body and your breast care nurse this was just my experience.
