Sorry ladies. Reason I don't often reply. Me and my machine here don't go very well together. Ha. Ha.

So...... thank you Irishgirl. Your comments are very reassuring. I will be starting chemo in about two weeks time and am very nervous. Think you are right as in don't look for the side effects. I hade a bone scan yesterday and the canula  going in was less painful than having a blood test. So again all anxiety needless. It is so hard though.  Going for CT scan this morning. I really appreciate all the comments here but cannot always respond but just wanted you all to know that I am thinking of you all on our journey and wishing you all well   By your side xx

I know what you mean, and makes complete sense...i tend to trust easily and trained as scientist and I still get terrified before every single appointment - the anxiety is entirely normal! I get so scared before appts I practically hyperventilate in waiting room (then have to use the Calm app to breath and calm down).  It’s not easy but sharing anxieties oddly does help - for years I’d sweep my anxieties and worries under the rug and for first time am trying to do the opposite and it does yep me process what’s happening.

I bloody hate needles and canulas and trying to get used to them but haaaard! The anticipation of being prodded by needles is always worse than the reality isnt it? Keeping everything crossed for the chemo - and good vibes for the CT - we are right here for you too xx
