I have just been diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and will be having a lumpectomy soon. Just trying to get my head around it all and pretty scared but not trying to show it.
i just want to talk with others who have been there and understand.
My mood swings are all over the place and each day is so different!! Im also finding it hard to tell people about muself!!
Hi Hobbo welcome to the forum and sorry to hear about what has been happening for you. You have come to the right place to get the support that you need.
Its ok to feel as you do so just take your time and take as much time as you need to feel able to tell people or not whatever suits you best. My Breast Cancer was also stage 2 and I am still here almost 5 years later so whilst it is all very overwhelming it is also doable and we will be with you every step of the way.
Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have and I am sure they will be many, but we will try out best to answer them for you.
Meanwhile Im sending some huge big hugs your way for now.xxx
Hi sorry to hear about your diagnosis but it's great you've found this site. It is very scary when you first find out but it usually gets easier once you have your treatment plan and get started. Sounds like your surgery will be soon which is good. I had a lumpectomy for a stage 2 cancer too and also 4 nodes removed to check for spread, which came back clear. Make sure you do the arm exercises they give you after surgery as that will help give you back your range of motion. They are a bit painful but keep up with them.
The main thing to remember is that breast cancer is very treatable these days, just look at people's bio's on this website and it will give you strength and help you feel better about it all.
Any questions just ask and keep posting anytime you feel scared or worried. xx
Hi GodWilling
Thankyou so much for replying xx it was a great help to read your thoughts and experiences...Taking one day at a time at the moment.. Surgery in a WEEK so just the next hurdle to cross and then see from there..
thanks again xxx
Oh thankyou so much xx i know having this forum to write what you feel is so good. It does really help and reaching out is the best thing to do!!
