Hello

I am new here.

i have been diagnosed with breastcancer third time, waiting for results after biopsies, Ct scan, bonescan and Petscan. I am scared and feel very low. I am seeing my surgeon April 1 for results of all examinations and to discuss surgery and treatment....I became a grandmother for the first time during lockdown. Live alone age 69 and was hoping to enjoy time with my grandson as soon as lockdown restrictions are lifted. What are my chances...I believed I had survived breastcancer twice, I was healed...

i am afraid and lack all strength.

Lieve

  • Hi

Cr4p news indeed, just wanted to say that hope it goes as well as it can at your appointment tomorrow. Great that you've found this site as it provides fantastic support when needed and I also find its good to be with those going through similar experiences who get where you're coming from...and can maybe offer a different perspective on things.

I hope with the easing of lockdown you're able to spend oodles of time with the new addition to your family.  Perfectly understandable how you're feeling, once is bad enough for most people (myself included), you will however find the strength as am sure you want to see your grandchild grow up and will get a lot of happiness from that.

    Best of luck X

  • Just wanted to wish you good luck for your appointment tomorrow. Please let us know how you get on. Congratulations on your grandson. Hope you see him soon.  This is my first time with BC so I’m not very knowledgeable but you have survived it before. You will find your strength again xx

  • Hello , just wanted to add my good wishes for your results tomorrow.Understandably you will be very worried at the moment but you will get through it all like you have before. This time last year I had just had it confirmed for a second time (22 years in between) and was amazed at the difference in the treatments. But once there was a plan in place I felt so much better and put my trust in my team. Take it all one step at a time and before long you will have completed your treatment again.Congratulations on your new grandsonand look forward to all those cuddles . Sending you big hugs (do let us know how you get on ) xx Kwissy
