Diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer on November the 18th 2020. Had a 3 breast surgery and lymph nods removed. Last surgery was 17th March 2021 I just received the appointment for next week to discuss the results. It was never that quick but this time is very quick and I'm very scared now.
I tried so many time to write about here but it's not easy! I don't think anyone can understand me! How I feel what Im going through.... Not expecting anyone to tell me everything going to be fine, I just want you all to know I'm here now all by my self... Trying write my story
Hello Powermum34 I'm so glad you've reached out. All members of this forum have walked in your shoes and understand the sheer terror you are feeling right now. I assume they've done 3 wide local excisions (also known as lumpectomy) to get clear margins? I was lucky and they had clear margins first go but I see so many posters on here who've had a few attempts. Getting your results quickly is not unusual. My first biopsy was on a Wednesday and I had appointment given on same day for results the following Wednesday and they had already discussed them!
Another time I had a biopsy on Monday and had results on the Friday. It's quite normal for a quick turnaround in results. They are not going to tell you they've given up on you they are going to discuss the next stage of your treatment. You should have an allocated breast care nurse and you can ring her anytime with any question or ask on here. Nothing is a stupid question.
There is a triple negative group where you might find more support specific to your circumstances.
Please keep reaching out, there is always someone listening xx
Dear Powermum34
I agree with Grogg , your appointment is about right . Over the last year appointments etc have been slower due to Covid-19. Things are stepping up a Mark now .I'm not going to say don’t worry because we all do all the time . Groggs suggestions are excellent .
take care
