Roughly a week ago I noticed a white speck or dot on my nipple right on the end, there is only one and it looks like a white head that you get on skin elsewhere really. I'm so scared this could be some kind of cancer of the milk duct or Paget's disease or some kind of calcification which I've read could be cancer. If you google white speck on nipple it comes up with blocked milk duct and all sites that come up are ones to do with pregnancy but I have never had children and I'm def not pregnant now. Its not the natural bumps you gets round the nipple either, the white speck isn't even particularly raised.

So scared, my boyfriend was diagnosed with testicular cancer about a month ago and we thought his symptoms would be nothing, I think this has me panicing than ever that mine will turn out to be something sinister, plus I'm still being bullied at work and suffering panic attacks about that, I just dont think I can cope worrying that I have breast cancer too in top of my boyfriend and work :-( Sorry for posting when I'm currently just at the worrying stage I can remove if inappropriate

    Hi all,

I know this is an old post but I’m experiencing similar issues and I’m getting very paranoid. I’m 19, and over a month ago I had a red mark on my breast, I monitored it as it changed and it went away after a week or so. Then I noticed my nipples changing. The end of both nipples have about 15-20 white specks on, and the Montgomery glands are more prominent, and touching them causing a prickly sensation. This went away but I’ve just noticed they’ve come back. I’m definitely not pregnant, nor have I ever been. I’m just getting a little paranoid about them, and doctors aren’t open at the weekend. Oh the joys.
Sorry for the long message, just needed to let out my worries and concerns!
Edit: I just squeezed to see if anything came out and white stuff came out, is it possible these are just whiteheads and I’m making myself paranoid over nothing?

    Hi

I'm sure it's probably nothing, but please get checked out. Your doctor would rather reassure you it's nothing than you ignore it and it be something serious.

Please let us know how you get on.

As Mistymoley has said go to your GP

It could be a wide range of things but no one on here can give you the reassurance a doc will. As awkward or embarrassing as it might be. Go.

We hope to hear a good outcome. If not this site is a fountain of support, gentle hugs and knowledge

Take care and please postbthe outcome as we know how to party

About 4weeks ago I also noticed a hard white bump on the end of my nipple.  I'm 56, had a hysterectomy 26 years ago.  I tried popping it and could not.  It hurt just to squeeze like that. It is not painful to the touch or any other time. I thought it was just a pimple but it will not pop. I try to forget about it since there is no pain but now I'm getting worried.  Is this sometimes a sign of possible cancer?

It is always a good idea to get any changes to the breast checked out. It could be something simple eg a blocked duct. But only a professional can give you that answer and about possible sign of cancer

We all hope to hear you have made an appointment and that all is well

    Take care and get phoning

    Hi

I have a white spot on my nipple it does hurt and aches like any other sort of spot, I am 43 I am single mum but my son is 11 did think blocked milk duct but would I get one as my son 11, and would it hurt and ache? I don’t see my gp till next week as I have prolapse discs and degenerated disc disease so take lots of pain killers and not helping with the pain and going to be worrying about it till next week

Hi you must have just joined the community as I cannot tag you in this

As we all always say go to the GP, if you notice any changes to your breasts. If you can get there before the other appointment then do it. Then you can both concentrate on one thing at a time. The reason for that is it will nag away at you and affect you both mentally and emotionally. You have got enough on your health plate without adding more nagging worries.

Just be honest with the receptionist and say I have found a change to my breast and I need to see someone . Times like this be ars**

Right, now you may need to be a bit selfish and put yourself first for a few weeks until the answers arrive. The GP will possibly send you to a breast clinic if they are not sure. That may mean a wait, if you need tests they will explain and they will need time to look at images, biopsy etc etc.again more waiting  But I expect as you have a long term health issue you will know how that feels and will have ways of coping.

But as you are going through all of this you have found a good site where you will get lots of good advice, support, hugs, positive thoughts and all in a non judgemental way. Avoid Dr Google not always as informed as the more reliable sites are.

Time to be phoning your GP

Take care and be gentle with yourself
