Roughly a week ago I noticed a white speck or dot on my nipple right on the end, there is only one and it looks like a white head that you get on skin elsewhere really. I'm so scared this could be some kind of cancer of the milk duct or Paget's disease or some kind of calcification which I've read could be cancer. If you google white speck on nipple it comes up with blocked milk duct and all sites that come up are ones to do with pregnancy but I have never had children and I'm def not pregnant now. Its not the natural bumps you gets round the nipple either, the white speck isn't even particularly raised.
So scared, my boyfriend was diagnosed with testicular cancer about a month ago and we thought his symptoms would be nothing, I think this has me panicing than ever that mine will turn out to be something sinister, plus I'm still being bullied at work and suffering panic attacks about that, I just dont think I can cope worrying that I have breast cancer too in top of my boyfriend and work :-( Sorry for posting when I'm currently just at the worrying stage I can remove if inappropriate
Hi
How long did it take to go? I found the same thing last night and immediately started panicking my anxiety and depression meant I leapt straight to OMG it's serious im going to die rather than it is harmlessÂ
Thank you x
I think it was a couple of weeks. But as the other person above mentioned, if it's not gone in 3 weeks then go see your doctor.
I think mine was a little ball of grease that got reabsorbed by the body.
Good luck and don't stress too much.
Hi All
Just read this through. Don't you wish that doctors would EXPLAIN their findings on things like this! This site is where we get the answers. Brilliant to all you ladies that come onto this site. You had the anxious wait for things to resolve but you have imparted the information for us all to digest and salt away. Good on ya Ladies - just wanted to say.
I'm new to this so hope its okay to comment here... I've had this problem with a white spot on my left nipple and it first came up a number of months ago I'd say about 5-6months and it just hasn't gone away, it just won't go away and it is causing me pain and making it hurt when I put a bra on and I get really bad aching and stabbing pains.. I'm really worried and just wondered what I should do? I've been told it could be hormones but that was ages ago and it's never gone away or gotten any smaller, any advice is appreciated, I wanna go doctors but don't wanna seem stupid.Â
Hi Rhia
Welcome to the forum. Of course the doctor won't think you are stupid. Best get it looked at and referred to the breast clinic. It may be nothing but better safe than sorry.

Dear Rhia,
It is great that you have had the courage to write here. I was lucky and my white spot disappeared quickly, but it is very important that you go get yours checked by a doctor, especially as you've had it a long time and it is painful.
Please carry on with this courage and go get it seen. No questions are silly in what health is concerned. If it's something small, you'll get it out of your way. If it's important, you will finally start getting treatment for it. Either way you will be better off by going to the doc, plus you will have the peace of mind.
Feel free to comment here at any point. We are supporting you.
Hugs,
GèniÂ
Hello,
I experienced a similar blockage. It appeared on the tip, off center, a few months ago, when I began more rigorous exercise. I also began using vitamin E on my breast to reduce stretch marks. When the white speck appeared, I immediately thought that it was a pore blockage. It grew a bit over the next few months, not by much, to 1 or 1.5 mm. I finally got tired of it and squeezed it like a white head. A white fatty substance came out, just like a clogged pore would, except a little whiter. Over the next few weeks, it grew a bit again, this time developing a bit of a black head. I squeezed that using sterile bath tissue and the black head and a tiny bit of the same white fatty/thick substance came out with it. The pore looked perfectly normal after that. Then a few weeks later, the white thick plug came back and it came to the surface after my bath tonight. Tiny amount, like from a clogged pore on my face. The heat may have opened the pore and expunged the fatty plug. There is no pain, no change in appearance of the nipple, nothing suspicious. I'll keep the pore clean and see it that will keep the fatty plug from coming back. I don't suspect that it's anything serious but I wanted to contribute my experience in this thread. Obviously I'm curious, which is why I'm here. I'm 43. Have 2 kids.

I'm really worried but I've already been up hospital so much do to my seizure in September and the scans to do with that and also been referred finally about a problem I've had down below, been suffering with pain practically every day for over two years.. I've had all sexual health tests done and it's been all clear every time but yeah the pain gets so bad that I end up in tears or physically sweating and unable to walk without being in extreme pain most days, I'm living off painkillers.. Been having all sorts of problems with it and I'm so scared really, they've finally referred me for an internal scan and the new doctor I have said she's shocked I wasn't helped sooner, every time there is blood in my urine and with the other problems my heads a mess, the pain killers have become a way of life now...Â
I wanna get this internal scan done with and hopefully a solution sorted before I go in about this problem.. Im a mess really, so scared about it all.. This white spot just won't go and I keep getting stabbing pains in this boob as well the nipple being itchy and cracked a lot of the time no matter what I do..
Sorry this is so long and thank you for the support, just feel alone really got no family to turn to, I have my boyfriend but feel I stress him out by going on and on which is understandable xx
Rhia,
