  • Hi Cc93

Welcome to the forum, I'm Daisy53 one of the Community Champions on this forum.  I'm sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer again.  I was diagnosed with a recurrence of breast cancer three years ago.  I had the tumour removed and I've been cancer free since.

There's an Awake thread on this forum where you can post when you have trouble sleeping.  Here's the link to the thread: Awake and there's the awake all night thread in the Cancer chat forum.  Here's the link to both: Cancer chat forum,  .

Wishing you the best of luck with the results of your scan.

    Best wishes

  • Hi

I am really sorry to read you have a recurrence 3 years on from your original diagnosis. It’s a horrible thing to go through at any age but especially when you are so young. I hope you don’t have long to wait for the results from your scans.

I have stage 4 cancer and remember the utter shock and fear when I found out. It wasn’t a recurrence but had probably been there at the start; a tumour in my liver was found on a CT scan done for other reasons whilst I was still having chemo for my primary diagnosis. I really thought my life would end very quickly. I soon learned there are lots of treatments even when it had gone as far as mine. Even with tnbc, which I have. Hopefully you will only be dealing with local recurrence which is easier to treat. But if the worst comes to the worst, please know many people survive well, even with stage 4 cancer. My stage 4 diagnosis was in 2022 and I have been in stable remission for quite some time now.

It might help to put a bit of information into your biography about your cancer, its history, and when you know the treatment, a bit about that. That way people who have the same cancer type or a similar treatment pathway can see it and it saves you repeating yourself.
