I had breast cancer in right breast 3 years ago. Had mastectomy, radiotherapy and chemo and on Tamoxifen.
I had temp implant in and am waiting for an imminent DIEP. My issue is that I have what looks like cellulite in left breast underneath only visible on raising arm and I felt thickened ridges. I had uss about a year ago and they said it’s all ok. My mammogram in Jan was also clear. Now I have noticed a definite dimple about 5cm directly below the crease of my arm to the side of my upper outer breast only visible when hands on hips. I’m wondering if it’s just my age (55) and saggy boobs. But I have nothing to compare it too as my other breast is false. I’m not worried per se, but I don’t want to go through a DIEP only to discover at a later date I have bc in the other breast and have to have it removed. I never feel comfortable getting things checked out as I always feel I’m wasting peoples time. My right bc was only discovered by a dimple in my breast. I’m considering getting a private mri on that breast but it obviously has cost implications which I can’t afford right now. What should I do?
