Evening everyone.
I'm writing this as my husband (aged 39) has a few months ago been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer.
Apparently the type he has is extremely rare and in all of our experience since, we have found that so many people don't know that male breast cancer exists.
Most recently, I've been struck by the similarities between the storyline involving DC Kit Green in Coronation Street (I'm a big Corrie fan), the only difference so far being that Kit is stage 3 and my husband is stage 4.
We've found that the vast majority of information and support materials available are targeted directly at women (no mention of men and lots of talk of 'boobs', 'bras' and pink).
I'm reaching out to see if anyone here has experience of caring for someone with male breast cancer? Being a carer is quite lonely and I'd love to talk with anyone else in a similar position.
