Im one year post chemo after having mastectomy. Chemo and radio for breast cancer. Been on letroxole and ribociclib for 10 months. All going well except for the fatigue and anxiety! Sure it’s because of medically induced menopause! Anyone else feel the same? I get worried I’m so tired that things maybe wrong.

  • Hello

Fatigue is such a weird thing. I got it after my treatment had all finished too. It caught me by surprise. If I was out and about, I literally had to stop and sit down. My legs would simply stop moving. Then you read other people who never had a problem with it or those who think because they feel tired, they're suffering fatigue and I guess that for them, it is.

So you ask, ' Is it normal?' I would answer ' yes' but at the same time, it won't hurt to have a check over. If you have an appointment soon, make sure you talk about it and if you don't, make one with your GP or phone a BCN who can probably arrange other checks, if she / he feels it's necessary.

I know it isn't pleasant and actually mine lasted on and off for months but eventually there was a day when I realised I was getting better and the gap between the attacks had gone from hours to weeks and finally months.

I hope all continues well for you. Take care.
