Hi, I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I’m 26 and just in so much shock and I have no idea how to navigate anything. Any advice or friendly conversations welcomed
I am sorry you have found yourself on this thread. Yes, it is a shock but you have found a good place to come for support.
Sometimes new posts get missed. Put your post again on the Awake thread. You will find all the help, advice and empathy you need from the members who post there. You can tell us a bit about the tests you have had so far and if you have been given any plans for treatment.
Breast Cancer is often successfully treated these days. It is 11 years since my diagnosis and treatment and so far all has remained clear. Keep in touch and please don't sit and worry on your own. Everyone who posts here understands exactly how you are feeling now so you can cry, rage or simply ask questions. Someone will listen or have experience to help.
Take care.
Hi there, it was like learning a whole, new language when I was diagnosed, so I know how you're feeling, but it's surprising how quickly you learn. I also wanted to say the lovely people here at Macmillan are always on the end of the phone if you have questions. The helpline is open 8am to 8pm every day on 0800 808 0000. Best wishes
Hey I’m 37 (which is a little older but still young in the breast cancer world). Diagnosed this week, still awaiting some test results before confirming surgery. Just dropping a reply here to say hello and you’re not alone
