I've been invited on to a drug trial to run alongside chemotherapy. I haven't seen my oncologist yet to say if I'm actually getting it though. The trial is to help protect the heart from the chemotherapy. I'm very much in favour of doing it. My reasoning is that we only have the treatment we have now because of trials in the past. Next week I have tests on my heart.
Well done. I signed up for a trail my first time round for the same reason. I had an MR I scan which wasn't usual then. At the time they were doing them in America for BC but not here. Now they are quite common.
Good luck with treatment.
Three times! What did I do?
