Hi Everyone
It's been a while since I last posted. Its been about 15 months since chemo (EC and Paclitaxol) and radiotherapy ended and my hair is slowly growing back but what was once thick curly black hair is now very thin and lank - especially on the crown and seems like an eternity just to get it just passed my ears.
Has anyone else experienced this? What did you do to try and thicken hair? Is it still a matter of time and patience?
This does sound quite vain but I am really scared it won't be the same. The team say "everyone is different" and "everyone experiences different growth rates or even if it grows back at all".
Has anyone tried products that has worked for them?
Thanks
Emily
Hi Emily (Emlee616 )
I am sorry your hair is growing back slowly. When my hair was growing back following the same chemo regime, it was dry and lifeless for a while. My hairdresser recommended the Nioxin range of products and it did all resolve. I found the best thing to do was keep it regularly trimmed / reshaped until I had it in a style I liked, rather than trying to grow it out.
