Despite a hospital visit where I waited 14 hrs to be seen I was given flagyl and ciprofloxacin to take for a week for a UTI. Week later had another urine test and still blood detected so another antibiotic Keflex. A week later no change another antibiotic Amoxicillin. Still no change blood cells still detected. Culture was done and nothing found. I now have to wait months to see a Urologist. I am getting worried that something is seriously wrong. I am on 6 yrs of Anastrole.I also have a itchy rash around my neck. Hoping it's just side effects of Anastrole , but my anxiety is growing. Anyone been through more or less the same?? Thanks

I don’t have experience of Anastrole but atrophy in the vulval area is a common side effect of oestrogen blockers and also a cause of UTIs. I don’t know whether it would be possible for you medically to go onto vaginal oestrogen pessaries such as Vagifem but maybe worth asking the question?
