Hi all,
Just a curious question really.
I read posts and some people get a call to book in at the breast clinic and some people just get a letter for an appointment date and time. Just a random thought but I wondered why? I received a call 2 days after referral with a date and time. Im yet to receive my letter which im told im to expect prior to appointment.
How did you all receive your appointment, call? Or just letter? How did it go for you? I wondered if it meant GP stated a concern on the referral, even the opposite effect and stated not concerned so quickly get them in and out or if its different clinics just use different systems maybe. I am in South Wales.
Arhh, yes! I didn't take that aspect into account, that very well may be it. The postal service is not great, I think I receive post once a week. So thats a great shout. I have been very curious about this so you may have just settled my mind lol.
Thank you for your kind words. I am not concerned, I think it may just be a formality over any concerns really. Fingers crossed I come away with a cyst. One week down, one week to go. Feels like forever away still.
I hope you are well! Xx
Hi. I think it varies from hospital to hospital. I had a phone call followed up with it being added to my NHS app and a physical letter. I have today had a text reminder as my appointment is tomorrow.
I would suggest they call to save sending appointment that people can’t make and then have to change and as has already been said the post is unreliable.
I hope your appointment goes well when it arrives. X
Hi di,
Yes you may be right. That is how mine has happened, minus the text reminder yet. It makes sense, I imagine it must be tough with swapping and changing alot of appointments where needed, so this definitely works better.
Thank you! It isnt until the 6th.
I hope yours goes well too and the wait hasn't been a torturous one for you. I will be thinking of you today. X
