Hi, I’m currently taking chewable calcium and vitamin D tablets after dexa scan showed osteoporosis in hip and general osteopenia. I’m aching after weekly alendronic acid tablet and wondering if others have had a similar experience? Also I’m finding the chewable calcium tablets horribly sweet and will ask Dr for an unsweetened alternative! Thanks
Hi, sorry I can’t comment on the alendronic acid tablets, but I did want to say that I couldn’t stand the chewy calcium tablets and I use the non chewable ones from Boots that come as Calcium plus Vit D. I find these much more tolerable. Good luck with your ongoing treatment, best wishes
