morning all,
this is one that has only just come to me.
i completed my final kadcyla last thursday. so i have an appointment with breast institute in a couple of weeks.
since last week all i can think about is when i have my mammogram is IT is back! can't get it off my mind at all.
i have been positive all through this last 18 months but all of a sudden is i've got to do it all over again. fortunately at work
there is a lot to do, but when i am home and in bed i can't shift the thoughts.
any advice?
thank you for reading.
Hello REAL REDHEAD finishing chemo after these last months has to be a cause of celebration in a way, but then you’re at the ‘what if’ stage….and it’s really hard to cope with.
My advice is to really think deeply about whether you need counselling or not, there are a number of avenues to get that. But in the meantime, have a read of Dr Peter Harvey’s article (I’ll post a link)
https://workingwithcancer.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/After-the-treatment-finishes-then-what.pdf as it really has summarised people’s feelings in an excellent way.
hugs xxx
ps, oh and check whether your hospital has access to the ROSETA trial run from Leeds. I’ve done it and it was very helpful.
Moomy
