Hi everybody,
What a rollercoaster of a week after my delayed reaction to the contrast dye used during my 2nd Mammogram last Tuesday 13.01.26 closely followed by CT Scan with contrast less than 24 hours later on Wednesday 14.01.26.
The delayed reaction resulted in full body skin reaction and a trip to A+E discharged home with steroid tablets and creams because 36 hour wait for Ward Beds.
Then next day I collapsed 4 times when I tried to get up so rushed back to A+E by my daughter because ambulance was over 2 hours wait. Admitted to Wards
Today Friday 23.01.26 I had my cancer treatment plan appointment with my lovely Consultant!
He explained my 2 X left breast lumps are actually 2 different types of cancer but are close together so I can have a Lumpectomy or if I want the full mastectomy.
My daughter caught the hormone reactive type - I was too busy listening for the CT Scan results from him.
He said all lymph nodes will be taken at the same time to find out how many are affected and what type (we know some are malignant.
However more importantly and magically he told me that the CT Scan showed "No Spread To My Organs"!
I am so relieved and so happy! What a massive weight off me!
It all depends on what the bone scan shows but he is reasonably comfortable to suggest the operation and allow me to think about the op which he wouldn't have done if anything was flagged from the CT Scan.
We just have to wait for my allergy to the dye to calm down and see what the bone scan shows then I see him again within 2 weeks to plan my op.
I feel so happy despite knowing I have cancer!
So my message to everybody is trying not to get to depressed and upset when waiting for test / scan results and I hope you receive some good news about some of the tests amongst those which throw wild cards (like me learning my cancer has spread to lymph nodes but not to organs)!
Big gentle hugs everybody xxx
