It doesn't rain - it pours!

I know now that I am a cancer patient!  I was told that my breast cancer care team have some of the biopsy and original ultrasound / mammogram results (I had to go to the dressings clinic after my original biopsy wounds were oozing and I had severe bruising, - a doctor and my consultant came in the room to check my wounds/ bruising, went away, the doctor came back and told me I have cancer!

The results show I have Lobular Cancer which has spread to lymph nodes

As a result I was sent for Mammogram with Contrast to double check the lump but another lump was found = another biopsy!

I was sent for urgent CT Scan with contrast to check my organs for cancer spread (had that last Wednesday 14/1/26)

Also I am booked for a bone scan in the nuclear medicine unit.

However today (Monday 1/1/26) I ended up going to my GP urgently because I have broken out in a major red, itchy skin rash all over!

It is apparently a delayed reaction to the contrast dye used in both the mammogram and CT scans.  Trouble is those scans were on consecutive days so my body didn't have chance to properly flush the dye out.

I am going to have to phone the breast care nurses in the morning because ithis rash is driving me crazy!

Whilst knowing I have cancer again is scary - I was managing to cope and had decided that I can deal with the treatment (I have actually quite a positive attitude when I have had chance to get used to tough battles - coming second isn't an option) but the massive skin rash  welts and itchy is really testing my strength if coping mechanisms.
