I ve had two out of ten radiotherapy sessions, 1st one went better than 2nd, i felt like I struggled with breathhold from almost overthinking it.  So far side effects have been abit of an itch in the evening. Also 6 wks into taking Tamoxifen, side effects have been feeling tired and also achy tired joints however manageable.

When I finish radiotherapy I know I m getting a phone call from the oncologist 2-3 wks afterwards,  what will happen after that,  is that it until my next mammogram?

  • Everybody has there own story regarding radio and tami,I had tightening chest  as treatment went on but you need to keep up excersises to releave this, creams are a must ,regarding what happens next as tami ,sweats ,sleep during day,not getting same brand seems the norm, what happens next seems to be down to your area and consultants I had scan when finished radio and then yearly mamms.kind regards

  • I finished my radiotherapy 11 September, got a call 6 weeks after to see how I was. I was fine so they just said you’ll get a mammogram July (;a year after lumpectomy) and that’s it unless I have any concerns and they gave me numbers to call.
