CDK 46

Have they said which CDK drug they are thinking of? I’m on Abemaciclib for 2 years (began it in September 2024) and I haven’t lost any hair though as I’m getting older (80) my hair is thinning a little anyway. The worst s/e is the one they prescribe Imodium for (yup!) but I also have ridged and flaky finger nails which does annoy me at times.

I’ve been on abemaciclib for nearly 20 months and it is a 2 year prescription. Ribociclib is a 3 year prescription, so that’s probably the cdk drug they’re thinking of. Both of these have hair loss/thinning as a potential side effect. My post chemo hair was very thick and it has thinned, but not all that much. 
There are quite a few posts about Ribociclib on the forum And in general for both drugs side effects can be difficult/dramatic at first but it seems that usually they settle fairly well.
