Hi everyone Relaxed

I am due to have my last chemotherapy on December 2nd. I have been using the cold cap throughout and still have some hair but it’s definitely thinned out over the last few treatments.

Just wondered if anyone had any recommendations for shampoo and conditioner that they used to help with re growth.

many thanks and big hugs

    Hi

I did scalp cooling and the above link has some info about hair care.

I continued to treat my hair gently and didn't find any particular shampoo that encouraged hair growth. However I did find leave in hair conditioner helpful- Child's Farm.

I found it helpful to take photos once a week and then you notice the hair growth better. It can feel like its taking forever but once it does start growing again it comes in quickly. If you are like me then you will have a time where you have hair all different lengths but it will soon settle down.

  • Hi I found Cancer Hair Care the charity helpful.  I used Faith in Nature perfume free for both shampoo and conditioner.  I added Rosemary essence to the products.  The CHC website showed you how to make a serum to massage onto the scalp.  This was soothing and prevented itching.  I cannot say that this helped regrowth.  However my hair has regrown back.  Regular hair trimming from a hairdresser was included in my plan.

    All the very best
