I started on Anastrozole for 10 years in April. Stayed with  brand Amorax ( which I did find out was a distribution company not a manufacturer, but stayed with it). Got most of the side effects associated with Anastrozole mainly bad bone pains, insomnia, tiredness etc. But been so glad to be free of the chemo, mastectomy op & radiotherapy. Been told alls well after all of that, so the side effects of tablets I've put up with. Now though, I  can't get Amorax brand, but was wanting to try another brand to see if their fillers would make me feel better than I did with these. Looking for forums. Found one on here about Anastrozole brands and probs people having, but what has helped them by changing brand. Only forum was about 6 years old. So brands mentioned may not be available. Obviously, what suits one person may not suit another, butI would really welcome anyone having same probs, what brands you find better for you etc.

  • Hi   my cancer is different to yours, I have an endometrial sarcoma, but I have been on anastrozole for 10 years now. I take tevo and have managed to stick with this brand pretty much for the 10 years. I think that most of my “side effects” are due to the lack of estrogen from taking this for so long, more than the effects of the fillers now. When I first started taking anastrozole I did try a couple of brands and found that tevo seemed ok, so my gp added tevo to my prescription so that the pharmacist only prescribes this brand, otherwise I never knew which brand I was going to get.
