Hello
I’ve just been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer - waiting for my second biopsy results to discuss next steps - scared but remaining active and positive….
sending love and prayers to everyone x
Hello,
I'm sorry you find yourself here but at least you will have treatment soon and it will remove the cancer. If you have TNBC it will probably be suggested that you have chemo and radiotherapy as with negative cancers you can't take hormone inhibitors.
I also had TNBC. After a lumpectomy, I had chemo and radiotherapy. I wanted to tell you because I know TNBC can seem very worrying especially if you have made the mistake of googling it . However, my diagnosis was 10 years ago. Each mammogram since has been clear. After five years my surgeon told me that that cancer was unlikely to reoccur. I live in a region that checks annually that no new cancers have developed so I know that so far nothing has regrown.
I hope you future plans and treatments go well. It may not always be pleasant but today's treatments are often very successful and tweaks since 2015 have helped make them more manageable.Take care. Love Karen
Hi Karen,
Thank you so much for your response. I have been conducting google searches which I’ll stop and wait for the experts and this forum to guide/help me along the way.
So pleased to hear you are clear which really is excellent and super reassuring to hear.
Thank you again for your response and kind words regarding my treatment plans and road ahead.
We are all fighters
So much love -

Positive thinking is definitely the way forward!
I am hopeful that I’ll find out later this coming week or early the following week.
Stay strong and best of luck - sending lots of hugs back to you
I was diagnosed the same two weeks ago. The internet is such a scary place I must stop googling. Good luck. I had my mri the other day and next will be oncology
Hi I was diagnosed with TNBC 3 years ago. However on a recent Breast Cancer Now webinar I learnt that the treatment had changed since then.
Your oncologist will give you the treatment plan and will want the best for you. I always took someone with me and checked that I understood what was being said. No question is wrong.
I am also BRACA 2 carrier. So the genetic question is worth asking.
One step at a time and seek help as when you need it. There are so many organisations out there that will help.
All the very best
