When I woke up this morning my tablets I normally take at night were still on my bedside table, I’d obviously forgotten to take them. Without thinking I just took them then (blood pressure pill and Letrozole). Now I don’t know what to do, should I just take them as normal tonight?
Hi Lizjane , I’m not a medic so this is just what I think I’d do in your situation. Re the blood pressure tablet I would seek medical advice before taking another dose at night, as it won’t be the usual time gap between doses. I’d phone 111 for advice.
Re the letrozole (I’m on Anastrozole), I did once miss a dose and just took the next dose at the usual time. So I missed a day’s dose. I don’t know if that was correct or not, but I think the hormone treatments stay in your body for a while anyway so I hoped it would be fine.
You could also post this in the Ask a nurse section here but I don’t know how quickly you’d get a response. Honestly I’d err on the side of caution and get advice from 111, assuming that you’re in the uk? Love and hugs, HFxx
I put my sensible head on and read the leaflets in the boxes. Both said it was ok to take them late as long as it wasn’t more than 12hours, which it wasn’t. It says to then just carry on as normal, so that’s what I will do! Thanks for the reply!
