I had inflammatory breast cancer in 2023, with chemo, mastectomy, radiotherapy and kadcyla. I’m now in remission and trying to get on as best I can. I recently had a bone scan due to hip pain and the radiologist wanted to take some extra pictures and do a CT scan. I don’t know if this is normal practice, or does it mean they’ve found something? I am so anxious waiting for the results and feel unable to do anything.
After finishing treatment, I had a really bad ankle fracture and needed surgery this year. My body has been through so much over the last two years. Emotionally, I’m all over the place. I want to carry on with life, but I’m so tired and feeling broken. Does it ever get any easier, and what can I do to find some peace?
Hi Silene, I just wanted to say that I hear you. I also had hip pain and was sent for a full body MRI (what an experience that was) and whilst thankfully all was fine, the worry doesn’t go away.
You might think about giving the lovely folks on the Macmillan chatline a call on 0800 808 0000 (8am to 8pm every day) as they will be happy to listen and provide advice and can even suggest some counselling if you think that would help.
best wishes
