Hi every body.
I just wondered if anyone knows whether or not those people taking aromatose inhibitors will be called for a winter Covid vaccination this year ( in Scotland)
I have looked at the web site but it isn't terribly clear with regard to particular drugs.
Thank you and all the best with everyone's treatments. Thinking about you all and wishing you well.
Hi
I have just put a post on as well and seen this.
I have been told by the clinic that gave me flue jab that I wasn't entitled too it.
I have questioned this at the GP surgery today/ they are looking into it and waiting to hear back from the macmilliam nurse.
My immune system is smashed by my treatment palbociclib and nearly every month have to have a delay due to to immune system.
(Under 1). I was told because I wasn't on chemio not entitled. I think I maybe in a group of people that they have not thought about when this decision was made by the goverment.
I will post a reply when I get an answer.. in England so not sure if it will be the same.
Hi
I had my flu jab last Thursday. I'm 68 so I'm allowed it. I'm wondering about covid too. I think if I'm going to have it I should , sooner rather than later.
Three times! What did I do?
I don't think it's ungrateful not to want additional vaccinations after all the treatments we have to endure with breast cancer. It is strange that different areas have different protocols when we should all be part of the same health service though.
I hope if you choose to accept both jabs that they only have the normal mild side effects.
Hi there,
Thanks for your reply.
Hopefully you'll be called for Covid vax at a later date.
I am on the computer now Googling Covid risks and Covid vaccination risks. Honestly, I would have taken it but then I watched Dr John on YouTube and he broke down the findings of the South Korean research, most cancers have increased in the vaccinated group. 20 % in the case of breast cancer
Hi, you’ve already been told on your other thread, by me and others, that this Korean study is nonsense. Dr John on YouTube is also not reliable and has also been discredited as spreading false information about covid. I know it’s incredibly hard but it’s important to check your sources of information are reliable, there are so many people spreading misinformation.
I think I am still a bit fragile and trying to get my head around this whole cancer thing. Honestly it’s hit me like a whirlwind. Things I had never before needed to or wanted to have to think about, I find overwhelming.. even simple things like the Winter Vaccinations scheme and whether or not I should have a flipping alcoholic drink.
I know I tend to over think things at the moment and I obviously write too much on forums like these. I needed guidance, support and encouragement and I got this in abundance. I never ever wanted to write anything that may adversely affect or influence fellow Cancer sufferers / survivors. For this I want to apologise to everyone.
My time spent on these forums has been a God send in many ways, but I recognise that at a time when I am not as emotionally strong and resilient as I would normally be, it can also be a double edged sword. For this reason alone, I think I need to steer clear of asking for advice or sharing my feelings on here in the future.
I wish everyone I have come into contact with, good luck and good health now and in the future.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
