So when is it time to shave it off?
day 15. Hair coming out on clumps. When is it time to give in?
I decided to cut mine very short when it became obvious that I was losing my hair.
It’s probably the most obvious sign of what you’re going through. But think of it this way, at least it shows the drugs are working. It’s easy for me now because I’m coming out the other side (and my hair is growing back) but hang on in there. These really hard days will be past before you know it. Concentrate on looking after yourself and have faith in the treatments.
Very best wishes
Yeah around now, sorry. My friend shaved it to a buzz cut around this time and then the little spikes drove me mad and a week later I went to a Turkish barber and had a wet shave, best thing I did, no more spikes on the pillow. I have to say wet shaving is not recommended because of the infection risk through a potential cut but the barber was so, so careful, he didn’t cut me, and we both had an emotional moment when he did this for me, it was a bonding moment even though I’d never met him before. I’ll never forget the powerful connection. My hair is back now and when I walk past the barbers window and we see each other, we just nod to each other. Funny old life. Good luck x
My hair is always short.
I noticed there was lots of hair on my pillow.. so one morning I started pulling my hair, not very hard, and it came out.
so I kept pulling it out. I think that was better than just waiting.
I put it all in a paper bag.
the first day I had a sort of sideways Mohican across the top of my head
And my head was hurting .
over the next couple of days my Mohican came out. And my head didn’t hurt anymore
I felt better to be in control of when my hair was gone
