So thank you for your advice yesterday.  So I ended up in the critical assessment unit at around 5. I had bloods taken which showed that my platelets were low (white cells basically) my blood pressure was low and my electrolytes were low. My temperature had stabilised at that point. We had the usual fight to get bloods which caused me a lot of upset then they put me on intravenous fluids and antibiotics. I then had tablet antibiotics and phosphate tablets which unfortunately caused me to be sick a couple of times. I’ve got to go back this afternoon to collect antibiotics which I’ll be in for a few days and have 3 more rounds of the tummy injection for my immune system. Then more bloods on Friday. I got home around 9.45. X

  • Hey hi hope your ok and feeling ok… what you been upto today

  • I did! I took paracetamol 4 hourly and ibuprofen 6 hourly. A warm bath helped a bit too. The aches lasted about 3 days but saying that I’ve still got some residual stiffness and lower back ache. It’s a whole lot better than it was though. Hang in there Pollyperk, it does improve xxxxx

  • That’s horrible re the anti sickness pill and constipation. I don’t think I had an anti sickness - just piriton and steroids. Hope things shift soon (you know what I mean !). xxx

  • Hi ladies. Lovely reading your conversations and journeys.
I’ve had the head shave today so a very emotional afternoon with just the best hairdresser who has also been on the journey herself. 2 - maybe 3 Prosecco helped with the journey but boy- wasn’t expecting that. So from now I guess I just move on?  X
