Hi all, I had a temporary implant after mx in Jan 2018 but got capsular contracture, stage 4 (radiotherapy apparently causes it). I then had a contra lateral mx in 2023 and another expander implant. I had been waiting for years for the diep flap but Covid bumped me down the list and I was told another 5 to 6 years, so opted for standard implants with lipo filling in Jan this year. Unfortunately the capsular contracture is back and my breasts are totally different sizes and shapes! Had an appt a few months ago where the surgeon said “they are what we call sisters not twins”! I had twins before and was hoping they’d at least match. A 6 month post surgery appt today and my breasts are now looking like distant cousins! Now they want me to have the diep flap to correct it. Anyone else had this happen or know someone who has?
