Hi
It may be of interest to some - the above book has really helped me focus since diagnosis a few weeks ago. It details how exercise plays such an important part in both preparing for chemo / surgery / radiotherapy, as well as having big impact on recurrence rates. Encourages fitness during treatment too.
Definitely spurred me on to improve my fitness before chemo starts in ten days - the only thing I feel I can control at the moment. There is a website too - with videos of resistance training. My dog has given me some strange looks as I use the hand weights .. but already feel stronger.
Has anyone else read it?

Hi jlw
Thanks for the recommendation! I love reading and I'll definitely order this book.
I used to be so into fitness then about 3 years ago I gradually stopped and just do dog walks now. I fell into the trap of being a bit of a workaholic and would work day and night with no time.for myself.
Cancer is defo and wake up call. Probably for many of us.
You are right...it is definitely one thing we CAN control.
Thanks so much.
Andrea
