Hi, I can’t sleep!! my 2 year anniversary for 1st chemo is on 14th. had my yearly mammogram last july, just been for this years one in Tuesday. Came home yesterday to a letter for more investigation this Tuesday. I had a chemo j a couple of months ago at the breast clinic, i wasn’t sure if it was scar tissue. surgeon had a feel and said it was. really worried now. especially how quickly they’ve got me in! anyone else had this? days are dragging, It’s like the initial waiting, can’t cope!! I was ok on friday and yesterday but then last night came and i’m struggling. We had to cancel our holiday abroad last time, due to go on a cruise with the kids in early august, i just can’t cancel this holiday we’ve been through so much. My 15 year old daughter has ASD, ADHD and was diagnosed with MS in December 5 days before christmas!
Hi Piritaxi and welcome to the forum..I am so sorry to hear how worried that you are and I completely understand your concern with your past history. However, I know it's easy for me to say but nothing has been confirmed as yet and the fact they are moving so quickly is actually really good. This could potentially be lots of things and not what you are thinking..Breath and take one day at a time which I recognise is easier said than done. I'm.assuming that tomorrow is the day you are going to be seen so please do let us know how you get on..thinking of you and sending some hugs your way for now..Gail x
thanks Gail, it’s hard to not think of the worst, anything other than that us a bonus. Think of the worst and hope fir the best.
Hi. I note you are due to go in today and I just wanted to wish you well and I hope everything goes ok.
I won’t say don’t worry as we all do before every appointment. I certainly do. Just try remain positive and if it is bad news then it can be dealt with. My understanding is that the risk of a local recurrence is very low.
thanks, i need a biopsy next week although they said they can’t see anything sinister
That’s good! I hope you are feeling ok about it? They are just covering themselves doing a biopsy. Many years ago a case went to court because a biopsy wasn’t ordered after a mammogram.
Hi sparkle498uk as you say this was many years ago and wouldn't happen now. Gail x
