Just been in the bath and as usual I check my breasts and I’ve found a tiny hard pea shaped lump in my non cancer breast. I’ve just finished chemo 3 weeks ago and got my planning appointment for radiotherapy tomorrow and I really don’t need this. I can see a spot under the skin and wonder if it’s just a cyst or pimple waiting to erupt, I’m worried as it’s more or less in the same place as my cancer in left breast. Am I being dramatic?????
Hi Csf
I'm Daisy53 one of the Community Champions on this forum. You're not being dramatic at all. Unfortunately when you've had cancer every new lump as you going to that place where you think the cancer is back. Mention it at your planning appointment for radiotherapy tomorrow, they may take a look at it as part of the planning process is a CT Scan of your breasts so that they can line you up for treatment or they may suggest that you contact your breast care nurse.
While I'm not an expert, it might be just a cyst or pimple as you can see the spot but it's always wise to get these things checked out.
Wishing you the best of luck with your appointment tomorrow.
Best wishes
