Swollen ankles

I'm on tamoxifen after breast cancer.about 2 years ago. Lump removed, then radiotherapy. Oestrogen positive. First started with letrozole tablets but they caused terrible muscle weakness which affected my mobility. I've been taking tamoxifen for about a year and wondered if it's possible to have a build up which then causes side effects. I get really swollen ankles by the evening. Not too bad in the morning and during the day. The muscle weakness in my leg seems to be returning too. Any ideas?

  • I’m getting them too, but on Exemestane and Abemaciclib. However, I’m on a Danube cruise at present, sitting far more, often on coaches and trains and in the sudden heat I think, for me, it’s a combination of those factors as I’m not the only one on the cruise that’s saying this.

  • Thanks for your reply. It is warmer than usual so haven't had as much energy to do things. Maybe that's making it worse. I'll try to resume my daily walks and see if that does the trick

    Enjoy your cruise
